We stepped into Bunkface Rock Station, SS15 Subang Jaya that morning for the RTW12 auditions, knowing the stakes and the energy of the scene. The cameras were rolling for the judges’ evaluation, and every band was out to prove themselves.
GAMELAN delivered “Pembenci Lelaki” with a slot‑in drummer who played with a ferocity that instantly drew comparisons to Dave Grohl. His performance elevated the set, giving it the kind of drive and urgency that made the room take notice.
The response was immediate, applause from the organizers and even a request for a demo. We didn’t have one ready at that moment, but the recognition mattered. We walked away with festival tickets and t‑shirts, small tokens that carried weight because they came with respect.
