Year 2022, What's up?
Hi guys, the image above is just one of many imaginary concept of the band, if being able to release a 7" vinyl record single. So, don't get too excited like us haha!
2022, is a strong number, hopefully for a strong year. GAMELAN is still here. The band bassist, Nasir or Sey had returned to Ipoh, which may suggest the band to find a replacement if any project comes near. At the moment, the band previous bassist, Khai would be ready as a slot in sessionist. An idea of replacement member for bassist position and an idea to add on member on keyboard position are also in discussion by the remaining member, Jimi and Jep. The band also open up for female musician, if possible, for a boost chemistry-cally.
Next recording would definitely be "Serigala Kota". However, the band are still thinking of options for a different form of recording, a full studio perhaps. Budget is a big issue, as we are small operated team. Marketing is another think-tank. We hoping to come out with merchandise as much, to finance the band recordings and activities. So far the sale of t-shirts are successful, but not as much as the CDs sale.
The band frontman, single-handedly release the 'Bunyian EP' as a sign of frustration being stucked at home during MCO 2021. At the same time, physically release their singles in CD format.
Keep in touch, you never know what this small band "GAMELAN" might comes out with a release around the corner. Finger crossed!
